Park Tours

Comprising over 3,000 acres of rolling Lincolnshire countryside, the park is best explored in our minibus. You can accompany our driver in his vehicle on a one-hour discovery trail as he journeys deep into this historic landscape. Spaces are strictly limited to 16 per trip and can be reserved on arrival by purchasing a ticket from the shop (£3.50).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NATURE AND DURATION OF THE TOUR DOES NOT MAKE IT PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN. There are no lavatory facilities out in the park.

There is wheelchair access to the minibus via a hydraulic lift.

Tour times do vary according to availability. The general departure times are -

14.30 - Sundays & Thursdays throughout the open season (& Bank Holiday Mondays). Also 14.30 on all standard open days from June to September

It is always best to check times before you set off to visit us, particularly if this is the main reason for your visit, as tours and times cannot be guaranteed. Special group bookings (up to 16) can be made by arrangement with the manager (See below). Please use the email address or telephone during office hours.

New for 2010 - take your own group on a private guided tour of the park in our minibus.

Up to 16 people can charter the park minibus for a one-hour guided tour for just £40 (plus the usual park admission charge). A member of our team will drive you through the park.

  • Discover the history and natural history of this wonderful place.
  • Drive through ancient oak woodland and along landscaped roads.
  • Find out about the medieval monastery and the private railway that once ran across the park.
  • Choose a special wildlife and conservation theme when seasonal conditions are right.

Advance booking and payment is essential. Tours can be taken Sunday to Thursday between April and September, subject to availability. They are not recommended for children under seven years. It is also possible to take the tour and arrange to be dropped off at a suitable point from where you can return to the castle on foot, following waymarked tracks.

Fill in the form and send it to find out more.
