Dogs are welcome at Grimsthorpe. There are plenty of places to walk your dog (on a lead please). We do ask that you avoid the formal gardens, red deer compound and children's adventure playground, but that still leaves hundreds of acres to explore.
It is important that we respect both the livestock and wildlife in the park, so it is vital that dogs are not allowed to disturb any other animals, including ground-nesting birds. By cleaning up after your dog you will also ensure that other visitors' enjoyment of the park is not spoilt.
If you are planning on taking the Park Ranger Tour, your well-behaved dog is welcome to accompany you in the minibus. This is preferable to leaving it in a hot car.
There's a dog show, held during the St John Fun Day on August Bank Holiday Monday. Come along and join in.
