Lectures

Does your group or society need a lecturer or speaker?

To many people Grimsthorpe is still something of a mystery and yet it has been home to a family for 500 years that have played an important part in the history of England. From being a Tudor favourite of Henry VIII to a maid of honour at our present Queen's coronation, the lives of family members provide a fascinating story. Added to this the architecture of the house, its contents and the wildlife in the park combine to offer an interesting and amusing talk lasting one hour.

Ray Biggs has worked at Grimsthorpe since 1997 and has so far spent more than 21 years working at heritage sites. During this time he has spoken to groups on a variety of subjects, many of them directly connected to Grimsthorpe. You can email him now with your lecture request, directly from this page or using the form next to this article.

He is currently taking bookings for 2013 and 2014.
