The Estate comprises 13,500 acres of predominantly arable farmland surrounding Grimsthorpe Castle. In addition to the Castle, Park, Gardens, Lake and Woodland there are approximately 20 farms and 200 residential properties. Many of the houses and cottages date from the 18th and 19th Centuries. The majority of the properties are situated within the villages of Grimsthorpe, Edenham and Swinstead.

Residential Property

The properties on the Estate range in size from one bedroom, single storey stone cottages to traditional five bedroom farmhouses. Rents vary from £425 to £1,500 per calendar month.

Houses and cottages are let subject to Assured Shorthold Tenancies often for a period of between 6 and 12 months. However, the Estate aims to let properties in the long term, so tenants occupancy can continue for many years. This tends to result in a slow turnover and unpredictable supply of accommodation.
