Thursday 28th September is our last open day of the season.
The Castle is open on the same days as the Park and Gardens.
PARK & GARDENS open 11am to 6pm.
April & May : Sundays, Thursdays and Bank Holiday Mondays
June – September : Sunday to Thursday inclusive
Last admission to park 5.00pm.
CASTLE opens 12noon on the same days as the park.
Last admission to Castle 3.00pm.
GUIDED TOURS obligatory on weekdays (tour duration is around one hour). Tours depart every half hour, starting at 12 noon and places are limited. Please collect a timed ticket from the GIFT SHOP before going to the Castle.

The site is closed on Fridays and Saturdays

The gardens, castle, playground and lakeside walk will be open from 21-29 October INCLUSIVE. Grounds open 11.00-5.00, castle guided tours at 1.00, 2.00 & 3.00pm. Tearoom and Gift Shop also open.
Oct 21-29 – Free admission to park and gardens – £5 castle admission charge. Season ticket holders are asked to bring their tickets for scanning.

Shop & Tea Room
The Georgian Coach House has been converted into a comfortable licensed tearoom, with seating for 54. In good weather patrons can also sit outside on benches. Lunches are served between 12 and 2.30pm.
Afternoon tea, with homemade cakes, is still an essential part of historic house visiting and the tearoom serves these until 5.00pm to allow visitors to indulge in this tradition. A range of hot and cold drinks are available from 11am to 5pm.
