Rent a Shepherd Hut for the day and enjoy all that Grimsthorpe Park has to offer whilst relaxing in your own secluded space.
Available on select days, between 10.30am and 4.30pm, our Shepherd Huts are placed in peaceful spots, overlooking the parkland.
Hire for the day starts at £60 for 2 people, and includes entry to the Park & Gardens. (Under 5s go free). If you wish to view inside the Castle on the day of your visit, you can upgrade your ticket at the Ticket Hut on arrival.
Take the hassle out of your day by pre ordering a picnic hamper which will be delivered to your hut on arrival. We have a selection of options which can be added on when booking your hut.

Please note that the huts are located in the parkland and cannot be accessed by a vehicle. Please see below for the walking distances to each of the huts. The huts are unsuitable for those with physical limitations or disabilities due to their remote location.
Please note there are no toilet facilities at the Huts. The closest toilets are next to the Castle, at the Ticket Hut, or the Adventure Playground.
Situated on the edge of The Oaks wood, this hut is just half a mile walk from the car park.

Situated deep in the Park overlooking rolling fields, this hut is a scenic 45 minute walk from the Ticket Hut through beautiful parkland.
The Foal Field Hut package includes:
Situated in the park, with beautiful views of Castle over the lake, this hut is a 1.5 mile walk from the car park.

Take the stress out of your day by pre ordering a picnic hamper, which will be waiting for your at your Shepherd Hut on arrival.
Please note that hampers need to be ordered 48 hours in advance. Please do not order one if you are booking a Shepherds Hut for the next day.

Guests: Price is per person and includes entry into the Park & Gardens.
On arrival please park in the car park and walk towards the ticket hut. Please show your tickets to the member of staff, who will give you a map, key and directions to your hut.
The Shepherd Huts do not have an enclosed garden so although dogs are allowed, we ask that you please keep them on a lead.
The huts are lockable and Grimsthorpe Castle takes no responsibility for your belongings.
